Marsha has over thirty years of experience in providing and administering behavioral health services in Kansas, Texas and primarily Nebraska. She is originally from northeast Kansas and received her Bachelor of Arts in social work from Washburn University and her Master of Social Work from the University of Kansas. She began her career working in community mental health in Kansas before relocating to Nebraska working in a children’s residential program and with the Office of Mental Health for the State of Nebraska. She then relocated to McCook, Nebraska where she was Clinic Manager, Clinical Supervisor and Therapist at Heartland Counseling for five years before returning to Lincoln to become the Executive Director of Magellan Behavioral Health for the next nine years. She subsequently worked for other national Managed Behavioral Health companies in developing and managing services for Medicaid.
Marsha is licensed in Nebraska as a Certified Master Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Independent Mental Health Practitioner.
Marsha currently serves adults, families and couples specializing in treatment for Mood Disorders (Depression and Anxiety), Personality Disorders and Adjustment Disorders. She provides individual, family and relationship/couples therapy using various treatment modalities. She has extensive experience and training in working with seniors and others with life transitions, interpersonal relationships, grief and loss. She approaches therapy with a person-centered and strengths-based perspective, creating a safe and accepting place to gain support and acquire skills to improve everyday lives.
