Heidi Oliva, MA, LIMHP

Heidi grew up in Lincoln, moving to New Jersey in high school and attending college in Chicago. Straight from college, she began working for Thresholds, one of the largest psychiatric recovery centers in the country. While working for Thresholds, she obtained her Masters in Community Counseling and has been practicing as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor since 2011. Heidi and her family recently moved back to Lincoln to be close to loved ones. Once here, she joined LBHC as a Licensed Independent Mental Health Professional.

Heidi has 27 years of experience in mental health. She works from a strength based, partnership-based counseling model. She integrates Cognitive Behavioral, Mindfulness, and Recovery strategies in her counseling. The clients Heidi serves and supports are those with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness, Bipolar, Depression, Anxiety (all types), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Personality Disorders, Grief, and Loss.

Heidi is an advocate of people with mental illness. She can provide professional Advocacy Services for clients with doctors, Community Living situations, psychiatrists. She also provides family support and education around a family member’s diagnosis of Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI).
